Beachbody Ultimate Reset--My Diary--Day 6

 Ultimate Reset--Phase I--RECLAIM--Day 6

My back feels much better today.  No headache either.  The fog is beginning to lift.

Breakfast- This takes the prize for the most unusual breakfast so far: Baked tempeh, avocado, toast, and steamed kale. It was truly a lot of food. Tasted great.

Lunch- I liked the combo of the quinoa salad and micro-green salad. I could probably have that every day and not get tired of it. (Have I said that before?)
Dinner--(delicious) Roasted Root Medley, zuccini-cashew soup, toasted millet
Dinner- This will definitely be repeated in my future. I think the last time I ate beets was as a kid—pickled beet on a salad, more of a garnish than anything else. I was not a huge fan. The roasted root medley was outstanding, including the beets. It was made with yams, carrots, and more. The zucchini-cashew soup was a nice touch—easy and tasty. I could take or leave the toasted millet. I could easily replace it with a different grain. It wasn’t bad, just nothing to write home about.

There is still lots of food on this plan. I am sticking to it. Not only am I not hungry, but I honestly am liking it!

Beachbody Ultimate Reset--Day 5--My Diary

Ultimate Reset-Phase I--Reclaim--Day 5

Had a tough time sleeping last night. My back was bothering me in a very unusual (for me) spot--right in the middle. I feel like it is still delicate and needs to be protected. I will be careful today.

Breakfast- Cooked rice cereal. I made way too much. This is one item in which I just followed directions on the package so it was not set up as a single-serving recipe. I hope it will be used later. I had fresh fruit again and it tasted very sweet.

Lunch- I am feeling very healthy. I had the quinoa salad and raw veggies dipped in hummus. The veggies provided some wonderful crunch.

Dinner- Still lots of veggies. I just loved the dinner: veggies with miso soup and brown rice. I could eat like this forever.

I protected my back all day. I hope it feels better tomorrow.
I finally lost 1/2 pound. Many I know have lost five pounds or more by now.
I am not hungry

Saturday

Beachbody Ultimate Reset--My Diary--Day4

Ultimate Reset --Phase I --RECLAIM --Day 4

Breakfast:  Hooray! I was looking forward to today's breakfast. It's my first chance to have fruit on this plan. With all the fresh fruit available this season I loved it. The plain yogurt was great with maple syrup--I don't know why I didn't think of that before.

Yumm... Delicious Breakfast!

Lunch: Maybe my favorite so far--I looked ahead and made enough Nori rolls last night for today's lunch. I got to repeat the lentil-lime salad (I love it) and the micro-green salad. There was more than enough food! Almost as much munching as chopping I did the other day.

Dinner: OMG!!! I have stir-fried vegetables many times but have never thought of using coconut oil for stir-fry. I loved the flavor of the veggies (as well as the smell while they were cooking) I'm a fan of quinoa and the cucumber-tomato salad was also good.
My headache is fading but I'm noticing some pain in my knees and my back. I'm still sticking with the plan. I've been told the trick to drinking the alkanalize is to use as little water as possible and drink it like a shot. I really don't think it's that bad. Maybe I am already used to it. I am enjoying trying new things. Drinking lots of water.

Friday

Beachbody 21-day Ultimate Reset--My Diary--Day 3

Phase I--RECLAIM--Day 3

Moving ahead on the third day of the reset. I am committed and encouraged. I am trying new foods and taking the time to prepare them, actually liking it.

Breakfast: How could this be? Breakfast is normal again. I chose to have spinach with my eggs. Instead of steaming it I just threw it in with the eggs. I ate the toast without anything on it since the plan didn't specify. I didn't mind.

Lunch: A repeat of the micro salad--Chop! Chop! Chop! I wish I had looked ahead and chopped more at one time. The lentil-lime salad was delicious. My daughter loved it too. I will definitely repeat it after the reset. A friend in our group couldn't stand it--so it just goes to show how it all depends on individual taste.
Dinner: I so impressed myself. I actually made nori rolls and they turned out. The rolls were made with tempeh and vegetables, a little tricky to roll at first, but I did it. This was all-in-all, I thought, a delicious dinner. Again, I heard the tempeh was awful . I didn't mind it, maybe because I didn't let it marinate as long as it should. Miso soup was easy, quick, and tasty. Japanese cucumber salad was a good side dish with this dinner.

So far I am not missing caffeine or alcohol (although I don't drink much of either anyway) but I was thinking it would be nice to have something sweet after dinner.
Still a bit of a headache but I know it will get better. I'm sticking with the plan.

Drinking lots of water.

Beachbody 21- Day Ultimate Reset-- Day 2

Ultimate Reset--My Diary

Phase I-- RECLAIM--Day 2

Breakfast-- oatmeal and greek   yogurt
Breakfast: Today’s breakfast calls for oatmeal with blueberries, organic yogurt with maple syrup. I would normally combine them differently but might as well go with the plan. Part of this experience is trying new things.

Lunch: The greek salad with grilled chicken breast was a hit. It was a quick easy lunch too.

Dinner: Mmm... a corn tortilla filled with black beans and rice—Very tasty! I didn’t miss the beef in the taco at all. It was also very filling. Today was my first taste of kale. I wondered how it would be. It was alright. I like the pine nuts on it. Still a pretty good headache going most of the day, energy low and feeling a bit bloated. Drinking my water, taking my supplements. Let's see about tomorrow.

Wednesday

Beachbody 21-Day Ultimate Reset--My Diary (The beginning)

Phase I --- RECLAIM-- Day 1

I am doing my body a favor. I am embarking on a journey of the cleanest eating I have ever done. I am ridding my body of an accumulation of years of toxins and giving my body a chance to reset. I am committed to the journey and am curious and anxious to see how I feel. Follow me to find out the effects.

Today looks like it is going to be easy. The food doesn’t look different from many meals I have had in the past. I believe the biggest challenge for me going forward will be scheduling, timing supplements and meals.

Breakfast: Scramble eggs, toast, spinach, not unusual for me. I was careful not to add milk to the eggs as I normally would, since I understand we will be weaning off of animal protein including dairy.

Lunch: Microgreen salad----So the chopping begins. I’m glad I got a good set of knives a few years ago. I enjoyed the salad, LOVED the toasted cashews I chose for the topping. The dressing was simple to make and tasty.
Okay—another challenge may be drinking the alkanalize in the afternoon. Actually it looks worse than it tastes. Down the hatch.

Down the hatch. Drinking the alkanalize
Dinner: I love salmon. I will definitely use the recipe for the marinade again. It was a delicious dinner with Salmon, potatoes, asparagus.
The day's food was tasty. The challenge, for now, is keeping to the schedule for the meals and the supplements. I am not used to taking any supplements and it is tricky to have to wait a certain amount of time between food and supplements. I am looking forward to seeing what lies in the days ahead. Yep, I am drinking LOTS of water. I can't wait to see what tomorrow holds.

Tuesday

The Beachbody Ultimate Reset-- 21 days. Here we go.

Here we go. I wondered. I waited. I watched. I saw many people getting great results from the Beachbody Ultimate Reset.

Now it's my turn. This is another opportunity on my journey toward self-improvement. I will be committing to a three week transformation broken into three one-week phases. Phase I--Reclaim, Phase II--Release, Phase III--Restore. What does that all mean? Basically, the cleanest eating I have ever done in my life. No processed food. It will mean weaning off of animal protein and dairy. Needless to say no caffeine, alcohol, or desserts.
