HI!
I enjoy yoga, group exercise classes, hiking, biking, kayaking, golf, gardening and anything to do with dance. Lately I have been heard saying "I want to keep moving so I can keep moving". I am constantly trying new recipes, sometimes accidentally coming up with my own. I strive to eat healthy but--oh--I love those desserts. I like to travel and learn about different cultures, and I love to entertain.


SO...Why am I here?



This blog began as a fitness blog. That's where my background has been and where my interest as been for decades.
As a dear friend of mine would say, "in the interest of transparency", my initial reason for blogging was to promote fitness as well as promote fitness and nutrition products for BeachBody. You will find some former fitness posts and still see some mention of products on this site because I use them, stand behind them, and recommend them. I have written and journaled on and off in my life for various reasons. But the reason I write now is very different. 

As I have seen how much life changes when one's health is compromised I found a new purpose. When I became a widow and my life was turned upside-down, I began journaling as a way to focus on gratitude and help me move forward. I revised some journal pages and turned them into blog posts. As I was putting my life back together and trying to remain positive, I received feedback that I was inspiring friends; inspiring them to be active, improve their health, and learn to be grateful and happy. I loved hearing that. And as always, helping others also helped me. 

My past life has taught me how important health is to all of us. If your health is poor you can feel robbed of life's opportunities; opportunities to enjoy activities and opportunities to enjoy spending time with the people you love. On the other hand, if you work to ensure your health is good, every part of your life can be much more pleasant.

So with a focus on Health and Happiness, my purpose is to share information and perspective with the hope that I may continue to encourage others to make their health a priority, keep moving, and create and share happiness.
